I became pregnant at the usual 1 year of age. Of course the father didn’t stick around very long, but then again they usually don’t. I found a really nice human they call Kelly that seems to enjoy tossing a couple of handfulls of cat kibble my way. (She already has one cat she keeps indoors and she’s kind enough to feed 3 other "feral" cats that come to visit her.) When my kits were born and old enough to travel with me, I allowed Kelly to see them. I was nervous... being what they call "wildlife" and all, but Kelly was super and even gave my kits some lucious green grapes! I still live in the wooded area with my kits close to Kelly’s house den. Why move away from kindness and a free meal? I just have to keep watch for other Raccoons who visit.
