I was born in 1998, and as a kitten, wandered away from my home to a local gas station. This gas station happened to be named Pilot. I found my way to a copper van, in which happened to be Anne, a professed cat lover. She begged her Mom to take me home, and Heaven knows why her Mom gave in since the family already had dozens of barncats, but her Mom consented, and Anne named me after the gas station--Pilot. Imagine, ME, a cat, being named after a gas station! The horror!
