Shut Down the Dog Parks
The terrible story of Truman the Bull Terrier and his enslavement by the Michael Vick dog fighting terrorists touched my heart. Looking at Truman"s sad, wistful visage, I could see the horror of this tragedy stamped on his face. As an Animal Rights Activist, I say to you all: this kind of brutality to animals must be stopped now!
And where did it all start? When Truman was slyly led astray in a dog park. Dog parks are known havens for sinister human brutes and perverts; the innocent-looking bushes can conceal dognappers, doghaters, and criminals of every stripe. Human fiends can lurk unseen, waiting for an opportune moment to pounce. Dog parks are also known drop zones for illegal substances. Canines, look around you next time you are there. Do you not see humans fumbling with small packages, pretending it is candy or cigarettes?
Is this a suitable, life-affirming environment for a decent animal? Is this the sort of place in which a self-respecting animal should disport?
I say NO!
Friends, dog parks are places of danger and degradation. They should be SHUT DOWN!

Alfred, my question is, Where was Truman’s human? Why wasn’t he being watched to make sure he didn’t get into conversations with strangers? How come his human caretaker didn’t warn him about these dangers? Probably flirting with another human. That’s why they take their dogs to these parks- to meet mates. I hope Truman gets to be adopted by humans that will really care for him and not just use him to meet other annoying 2 legged creatures.
