Global Warming?  Bring it On.

I’m looking forward to global warming.  Sorry, Mr. Gore, but it’s cold down here near the South Pole.  The thermometer heading up a few degrees will make my life a lot better.

When these icebergs melt away it’ll be easier to get places, for one thing. No more having to swim around them. And the penguins. Good riddance! I don’t care how cute you think they are, thousands of little feet scampering back and forth above you all night is no picnic when you"re trying to sleep.

The wife and I lived in the Bering Straits until about a dozen years ago.  We headed south, down to this neighborhood, attracted by the quality of life - clean water, no sharks... And the solitude. That"s what closed the deal.  Except for some seals and the occasional nuclear submarine, I can swim all day and never see anyone. Being a writer, I like that. It"s just these frigid temperatures. I"m a fish. It’s not like I can put on some wool or light a fire or something. Sure, the wife and I could move to an aquarium community where it’s always warm and the food is handed to me by divers but who wants that?  That’s for old fish.

The way I see it, the only thing missing from this potential paradise is warm water. So I"m asking you, Mr. Gore, as one cold fish to another, to please back off.

Global warming?  Bring it on.  And please hurry.

I wish I was adventurous enough to come visit. Those penguins look tasty and tricky to catch. Chickens are tasty, I can only hope Penguins are more so. And I could feast on a seal for a week!
