I Am Against Gun Control

The less guns in circulation, the safer the world will be, right?

Unfortunately, like sheep to a slaughter, most animals have bought into this myth perpetrated by gun control advocates. It just isn’t true.

Study after study shows that the more guns out there, the LESS likely we are of getting shot.  How can that be?  Because gun control advocates conveniently fail to mention that many times guns are brandished in self-defense.  If hunters learn we may be carrying Ruger P95DC Semi Automatic 9mms, they will very likely move on and search for less-protected targets. (Like sheep.) I personally know of an incident where a moose scared away a hunter by pulling out a concealed Colt M1911.  And it wasn’t even loaded!

It wasn’t loaded for a good reason.  If current laws make it hard for an animal to get a gun, they make it even harder to get ammunition.  To site one example: Did you know that in California animals are prevented from attending gun shows?  California state law dictates that public buildings (which include the multipurpose arenas where most gun shows are held) must be clearly marked with signs saying, “No Animals Allowed.” So unless you’re a seeing eye dog, purchasing a Glock 28 (a Glock 26 with the frame and slide modified to fire .380 ACP ammunition) becomes virtually impossible on the gun show circuit.  This leaves animals with 2 choices - do without or be forced to pay the outrageous prices seeing eye dogs now get for that ammo on the black market.)

We need to not only reverse the perception that more guns means more deaths but we must also make it easier for animals can get guns.

A safe animal is an armed animal.

Woo-eeee, this is one kooky rabbit! Just better make sure this flop-eared rightwing wacko doesn’t get one of those guns! According to his way of thinking, the more rabbits you shoot, the less get klilled! Woo-eee!

“A safe animal is an armed animal”. So? I have two arms, don’t you? So that makes us ”armed”, right? So, we must be “safe”, right? What’s that got to do with guns anyhow?

The 2nd Amendment grants the right to bear arms.  And I support that.  For humans AND animals.

Think about this: if we didn’t have arms we couldn’t have killed all those Native Americans to then claim their land and make this the great country it is.  You need more than just knives to build a great country.

You’re right, Sam. I support the 2nd Amendment right of humans to use their guns to shoot down eagles for fun and amusement.

Think about this: if the dominant humans (i.e, the Wealthy, the BigBizness Tycoons, etc.) didn’t have guns, they wouldn’t be able to so conveniently slaughter each other (and us), and would then have to resort to cruder means to reduce the “useless” population (i.e., all the rest of us)- like using those knives on minorities and dissidents.
