Hello, Barton. I never said you were a furious beast. Whew, I hope that lets me off the hook.
Elmer, you are a wuss. Barton is the gentlest and kindest of souls, just like the lion in the video. But Barton was luckier than that lion, who loved his human parents and yet they abandoned him.
Even if lions were furious beasts, I would still like my wild cousins.
Did you mean “furious” or “curious”, George? All cats are curious, aren’t they? So I guess that makes Barton curiously furious?
That doesn’t sound right.
“Full of Fury, signifying nothing!”
Curiosity got the cat in a mess; Furiosity, not really a word but it fits, gets him out.!!
Felines have always been curiously ferocious. That’s what makes us so lovable.
Actually I meant to write “ferocious” but I misspelled it. By luck “furious” turns out to be a word that works also.
(Careful: First animal that calls me stupid gets eaten.)
Oh, no, no, no, no! You’re not stupid, Barton, not stupid at all! I’ll take on anyone who dares to call you stupid! (Barton, please stand close by)
Elmer, quit trying to suck up to Barton. Curiously ferocious big cats don’t like suck ups!!! And for the last time, put your socks in the hamper!!!
You don’t have to talk to me like that in public, Dotty. I aim for the hamper, but sometimes I miss.
